Where to sleep in the Loire valley

In Chançay (10 kms from Vouvray, 15 kms from Amboise)

An original and unique place to stay in the Loire Valley!

Cathy and Jean-Pierre live in an old house built along the limestone cliff in Chançay. But this is not where they offer you to stay. They've built 2 Mongolian yurts in their garden, which combine authenticity and comfort. Made for 2 and 4 people, they both offer a lot of space, a private bathroom and a small kitchen that will enable to cook your own meals. Unless you prefer Cathy to serve you dinner, as she offers home-made meals cooked with local products and vegetables grown in her own garden. Have a nice meal... and a good night!

B & B 'La ferme de Launay'

It is a warm welcome that awaits you at Claudine's place located just outside the village of Chançay. Her house is an old farm that was restored and turned a few years ago into a B&B.

3 bedrooms, a swimming-pool, a large park to stroll around and to allow you to relax while enjoying all the treasures of Touraine and the Loire Valley.

Shall you book a wine tour with Myriam, you will be able to walk to the winery , as it is only a 10 minutes' walk from Claudine' home. No driving! A good opportunity of fully enjoying the wine tasting!

B&B La vallée de Vaux

Some more original housing in our little village of Chançay!

Claire and Jean-Marie Lehoreau own 5 rooms next to their house but they also offer their guests the possibility to sleep in a tree house or in a traditional gypsy caravan. A private bathroom and a small kitchen are there to provide all the comfort you may look for.

In and around Vouvray

B&B 'Le Moulin des Landes' in Vernou-sur-Brenne

A lovely house with a lovely host! Florence's house - an old mill - is located in the village of Vernou-sur-Brenne, which is one of the 8 villages where Vouvray wines can be made. It is only a 2 minutes's walk to go to the center of the village where you can find all sorts of shops (2 bakers', 2 charcuteries, a grocer's, a butcher's, a flower shop...) and 2 cafés. The local food served during the wine tastings offered by Myriam  mostly come from the shops found in the village.

Florence is perfectly knowledgeable about all the attractions in the area and she will be happy to give you advice for you to enjoy a perfect stay in the Loire Valley.
