Bikes 'n wines

After several years organising bike rides and wine tastings in the vineyard, it is now time for us to develop other wine activities. These bike rides in the vineyards will therefore no longer be offered until further notice.

Biking along the Loire river is a must-do in the Loire Valley. Get off the beaten path and follow Myriam in the vineyard of Vouvray!

This bike tour in the vineyard starts and ends at the family winery, Vignoble Alain Robert, which is located in Chançay, between Tours and Amboise, at the heart of AOC Vouvray. We will head to the vineyard, where after a few kilometers, a first tasting of the estate's wines will take place. In total, four tastings are planned amidst the vines, directly on the plots of land where the wines have been produced. They will be served with local delicacies (Loire fish rillettes, local cheeses and charcuteries, a dessert, etc.). On the way back, a fifth tasting will take place in the rock-hewn cellar. This 12.5-km /19-mile bike ride will be the opportunity to enjoy viewpoints on some castles of the Loire Valley: Amboise, for the most famous of them ... but also more confidential and private castles of the Brenne valley, as well as traditional and local buildings that used to play a significant role in the vinegrowers' and the villagers' lives. But I won't tell you more ... come and test yourselves!
