Covid-19: our latest news

First of all, we hope you and your families are all safe and healthy, wherever you are on planet Earth.

In our little part of France, at the heart of the Loire Valley, we are doing well... well, as well as we can...  At least we are in good health, which is the most important thing at the moment.

Coronavirus has turned the whole world upside down and in this unprecedented and troubled situation, we first wanted to let you know that we think about you. We also wanted to keep you updated with what is happening here regarding our wine tours and wine tastings.

Our wine tours and wine tastings cancelled

stay-home-save-lives-coronavirus-2020

Given the international context due to Covid-19 and the lockdown imposed by the French government to prevent the spread of the virus, we currently can't offer our wine tours and wine tastings. We fully support the measures taken by our government as we know it is the only solution to combat Coronavirus.

The lockdown period originally ending on March 31st was extended til April 15th. Today is April 14th and yesterday evening, our President announced that lockdown would end on May 11th.

Our Loire Wine Tours will resume once lockdown is over. That is to say on Monday May 11th at the earliest, or later in case the confinement period is extended again. We will keep you informed on this website as soon as we have more information.

If we are allowed to go back to work on May 10th 2020, we will comply to the recommendations given by our government to guarantee the safety and health of our visitors and will consequently adapt our working environment if necessary. We will keep you informed about the measures we may have to take in another article.

What happens when our wine tours are cancelled

Our wine tours planned between March 17th and 31st have all been cancelled. The visitors who had booked wine tours and/or wine tastings during that period have either been refunded or offered the possibility to postpone their tour at a later date.

As far as the wine tours and wine tastings planned from April 1st 2020 are concerned, we will implement a system of credit-notes, of a value equivalent to the sum initially paid by the customers when booking and valid for 18 months from the date the wine tour / wine tasting is cancelled.

This procedure follows an ordinance passed by the French government, pursuant to article 11 of the Emergency  Act number 2020-290 of March 23rd 2020 voted to face the Coronavirus crisis and allowing travel agencies and tourism service providers to offer their customers, instead of the refunds normally provided for in Article 211-14 of the Tourism Code, credit notes corresponding to the whole amount they paid for the services when booking. These credit notes are valid under the following conditions:

- the customers will receive them without undue delay and at the latest within 90 days after the cancellation occurs
- these credit notes will be valid for 18 months from the moment the original contract / booking has been cancelled
- these credit notes will come together with new booking proposals

- in case these credit notes have not been used within 18 months, the sum of money originally paid by the customers will be refunded.

We thank you for your understanding regarding the situation and for your support.

Should you want some more information about the cancellation of our wine tours and wine tastings and bout the procedure regarding credit-notes, please contact us by phone or by filling the contact form below.

Keep safe, stay home and take good care of you!

My best wishes to you all!

Myriam

Wine is a cultural product. It should be enjoyed as such and consumed in moderation.

Alcohol abuse is bad for your health.

The prices mentioned are valid from January 1st to December 31st 2021.
